ThermCon Scientific DIL Series – Linear Thermal Expansion Coefficient Tester

The ThermCon Scientific DIL series instruments measure dimensional changes of a sample as a function of temperature or time under a programmed heating cycle. The applied load is close to zero, ensuring accurate results.

They are widely used for polymers, building materials, ceramics, glass, and composite materials in industrial, scientific, research, and educational settings.

These instruments provide measurements of thermal expansion, percent expansion, and the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). They employ a single push rod design for accurate measurement of length changes (expansion and shrinkage), supported by advanced software, hardware, and calibration standards.
